Reviving Jack Beans - Native Seed/SEARCH

From Native Seed/SEARCH - Melissa Kruse-Peeples - See full blog post here

"If you could take a time machine and visit an ancient Hohokam agricultural field 1,000 years ago, you might find an unusual, yet majestic, bean known today as Jack Beans (Canavalia ensiformis). This bean disappeared from Arizona's agriculture in the late 1930's. NS/S conserves 2 accessions of this variety, and in 2014 we were able to successfully regenerate one of them to provide fresh seed samples"
